Professor Liebovich was a reporter for ten years, an investigative reporter at the Milwaukee Sentinel for half those years. He won nine awards as a reporter. He has written five books on the press and the presidency and the press and foreign policy. He teaches media history. Liebovich's fourth book, The Press and the Modern Presidency won the Choice Magazine Award in 1998 as one of the outstanding academic books of 1998. (The second edition of The Press and the Modern Presidency was published in June of 2001). His latest book, Richard Nixon, Watergate, and the U.S. News Media, was published in 2002.
