Your Website. Create It! Launch It!

This workshop is for small businesses and nonprofit organizations that need a new website or need tools to maintain their existing website. You will work with web design firm OJC Technologies to learn to use customized templates and WebEasel, an easy to use content management product. A professional web design director will walk you through the process of creating and launching your site. You will leave with a completed core website.

Using WebEasel, participants are able to design, develop, and update their own website with no prior experience or knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, PERL, or other web development applications.

Upon enrollment, OJC Technologies will provide direction to students to complete the following steps prior to the workshop: compiling website material, inventory of website needs, and purchase of domain name and hosting services.

Parkland College, in Champaign, Illinois, is the first college to offer Your Website. Create It! Launch It! classes. WebEasel is developing partnerships with other colleges and training centers to bring these classes to other business communities. Contact WebEasel (217.344.0444) if you would like your college or training center to be considered as a host.

One course is currently scheduled in Champaign, Illinois for Fall. To register, contact the Parkland Business Development Center at 217.351.2235. You can register by phone Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Credit card payment can be accepted over the phone.
