OJC announces contest to win free installation of WebEasel
OJC Technologies Shares the Success of its New Product, WebEasel
OJC Technologies, an Urbana-based technology company, has invented WebEasel, software developed for keeping websites up-to-date without any experience or training. And they want to make sure their community benefits from it before they take it to a national audience.
That's why OJC Technologies is holding Website 9-1-1, a contest designed to get WebEasel into the hands of those who could use it most ... and could do the most good with it in the community.
"Once we realized the power of what we created - watching people who have hardly touched a computer update their website - we knew we had something special" said OJC Technologies President, Lori Patterson.
OJC is gathering entries from organizations and businesses who could use WebEasel. The question posed to them is simple: "Why is keeping your website updated important to our Champaign County community?"
OJC will then hand over these entries to a panel of five judges from different parts of the community - Preston Williams, Deputy Superintendent of Urbana Schools, Emory Oney, Director of the Champaign County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Heather Smith, News Gazette Director of Marketing, Don Elmore, Publisher of the Paper, and Kathy Guthrie, Program Manager of the University's Office of
Volunteer Programs. The judges will select the organization that will receive a free WebEasel license to immediately begin keeping their website up-to-date.
The winner will be announced at OJC's WebEasel release party, Thursday, November 6th at 5:00 PM
at Crane Alley, a new restaurant in downtown Urbana located below OJC's offices.
