Center for Women in Transition Goes Live!

The Center for Women in Transition (CWT), a runner up in the WebSite 9-1-1 contest, went live with WebEasel today. The CWT was one of five local organizations awarded a free license of WebEasel during the contest that celebrated WebEasel's launch in November.
"We were awarded the software right before the holiday season, which is a really busy time for us," said Kathy Sims, Executive Director of the Center, " but getting WebEasel was even easier than using WebEasel. We signed the license agreement, and the next thing we knew, our site was ready for us and we had logins - we didn't have to do anything that added to the stress of our busy season."

The CWT used web-raisings to get their staff trained and their site ready to go live. At a web-raising, a company or organization brings in volunteers and staff who learn to use WebEasel while raising the website. At the end of a web-raising, they leave with trained staff and a live site - often in as little as 3 hours! "Web-raisings are a great way to get a lot of people trained in a short amount of time," said Kathy, "AND the training has us working on our real site, so every thing we learn makes a productive change in bringing our content up-to-date."
